I love a good thrifty find especially if it is a vintage or vintage looking find. Today I stopped by my Goodwill store and it was full of lots of fall and Halloween decor. I didn't plan to spend much and walked away with two fun and inexpensive thrifty finds <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh61I3su_Ybp1u8Dm2XskAdhFunprNv8eF9UhG_CW_AvF5SYnSdTEgu-gPAg3XENImAnFWGJKy5GT0QDBvomHNShj4t7haKqw3x7fDGof5k_Okflp9ZwQJS1E6FFd-Voz-iDdlMWmerlJml/s1600/IMG_20180820_150252_078.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1492" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh61I3su_Ybp1u8Dm2XskAdhFunprNv8eF9UhG_CW_AvF5SYnSdTEgu-gPAg3XENImAnFWGJKy5GT0QDBvomHNShj4t7haKqw3x7fDGof5k_Okflp9ZwQJS1E6FFd-Voz-iDdlMWmerlJml/s320/IMG_20180820_150252_078.jpg" width="298" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I picked up this plastic pumpkin for $.49 and the tin bag for $2.99. Two great finds for under $4 total. The metal pumpkin also pictured was a Goodwill find from last year. I think I paid $5.99 for the wire pumpkin. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJYT8hRHvKy4uCPEaNO5sQTvMWLV_xHNAqrhHV7yfNYa7a_17i6yfrrDbSezdurmJT2cB3AKQaWG427yDuPejGMg5mMvdwg3fFF4eb_5OZu_2XYks0mWzMk45vWGxWCT6tLFeKUAEnJMev/s1600/20180820_164943.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1395" data-original-width="1320" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJYT8hRHvKy4uCPEaNO5sQTvMWLV_xHNAqrhHV7yfNYa7a_17i6yfrrDbSezdurmJT2cB3AKQaWG427yDuPejGMg5mMvdwg3fFF4eb_5OZu_2XYks0mWzMk45vWGxWCT6tLFeKUAEnJMev/s320/20180820_164943.jpg" width="302" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As cute as the orange plastic pumpkin was I wanted more of a vintage look so spray paint and Rub 'n Buff to the rescue. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjl4AFYZ7drb4gIhmoo2grq6f55Ucj22Pku9IvegjZ5oReaEsvxw8_39SY8upaBMc1sQFyG2FIMQ9W0dW9k5VSgOL1tGJxe3r2TPBEhWk4IWNzon7gI3EhU7ysILjjWKhiSJYDCK-A7RVKP/s1600/20180820_164920.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1233" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjl4AFYZ7drb4gIhmoo2grq6f55Ucj22Pku9IvegjZ5oReaEsvxw8_39SY8upaBMc1sQFyG2FIMQ9W0dW9k5VSgOL1tGJxe3r2TPBEhWk4IWNzon7gI3EhU7ysILjjWKhiSJYDCK-A7RVKP/s320/20180820_164920.jpg" width="246" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Much more of the vintage look I wanted. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I didn't notice the subtle pattern on the back side of the until I started painting it. </div>
<br />

I've been busy cutting and playing with the various looks I've been able to get from the new FSJ Branch and Cone die set.<br />

It's live, the FSJ Holiday mini is live and it is full of lots of great holiday products and inspiration. I couldn't resist making another card with the Spooksville die set.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I diecut the house and backed it with a GelPress print to create the lights inside. I love the random colors that look like shadows. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The sky came together quickly with PanPastels. A couple swipes of color easily creates a twilight night sky. I finished off with lots of silk splatters to create a twinkling sky.</div>

I just love how quick PanPastels are to use and create wonderful backgrounds. I think I'll be making many more PanPastel sky backgrounds for cards, especially with this fabulous Spooksville die. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Yesterday was a happy day. I received a few items that will be available in the FSJ Holiday mini catalog going live next week on August 1st. I'm a big Halloween fan so this wonky house from the Spooksville die set was the first thing I cut out. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I couldn't have a plain house and I love the my FSJ black sparkle washi so why not a sparkly, not so spooky, sparkly house. I put washi tape side by side on Electric Lime cardstock then die cut out the house. I added another piece of Electric Lime behind the diecut to look like lights on inside the house. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I then diecut two of the largest tags from the new Special Day Tags die set. I added some Black Licorice PanPastel to accent the edges and layered the two tags on top of each other. I attached them to a Treat Box die. I cut a moon from Orange Creamsicle cardstock and attached to the Special Day Tags and then attached the sparkly, not so spooky Spooksville Die. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Halloween is big (and over two months long) at my day job and I like to make small little treat boxes. This Treat box would hold lots of candy to keep sugar levels and spirits up. </div>

Oh deer, how cute and giant is this deer head? I've been wanting the Deer Head die from FSJ for a while and finally ordered it. It arrived today and I couldn't wait to create with it. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinwEJOMJNkRSFcm8OXkLmvOehYJ9dMgeOOp9vHls4OSb_EKYBx9nvYSpcMksWFuh-4bDAN0BGc1d1iXsFlwJ08p5efKr7OJyISNA5RmDxHCsLtkazBp4e6i8tEFLgFGfIpPKgHG_bU7kS5/s1600/fsjdeerheadcard.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="854" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinwEJOMJNkRSFcm8OXkLmvOehYJ9dMgeOOp9vHls4OSb_EKYBx9nvYSpcMksWFuh-4bDAN0BGc1d1iXsFlwJ08p5efKr7OJyISNA5RmDxHCsLtkazBp4e6i8tEFLgFGfIpPKgHG_bU7kS5/s320/fsjdeerheadcard.jpg" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
This card came together quickly with brushed gold cardstock and Cozy Prints patterned paper. I finished it off with a bit of Candy Apple Twine tied around his neck.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I love how quickly this card came together and how elegant it is.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've been "planning" scheduling card classes for a long time. Monday I made myself call my local Hobby Lobby and see if there classroom was available for Tuesday. I thought why not cooki and do a Christmas card Make and Take first before a full class. I couldn't get the room on that short of notice but I could get it on my next day off which happens to be Monday. And so I designed two Christmas cards that I'll have for my Make and Take items. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This one uses some FSJ paper, Panpastels, Bread Tag die and stamp, the cardstock used was from my stash. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjn4_kn6T1PpR8TEJm4_2D5I4GvzyA_rljzaMwt6BSDGSFfB27Y_Zugkihf16OFM3sGWJzkmpCX2wSY3MQ_ZnHEbFj_HIpvNLqt7BiF7SjKDvDdOlat01GbYfyvSeRW2CAaQyUT4n9eJQAL/s1600/IMG_20180716_231327_219.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1128" data-original-width="1128" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjn4_kn6T1PpR8TEJm4_2D5I4GvzyA_rljzaMwt6BSDGSFfB27Y_Zugkihf16OFM3sGWJzkmpCX2wSY3MQ_ZnHEbFj_HIpvNLqt7BiF7SjKDvDdOlat01GbYfyvSeRW2CAaQyUT4n9eJQAL/s320/IMG_20180716_231327_219.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This second card is mainly from my stash with the Oh Deer sentiment from a retired FSJ set.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I can't wait to share my love of card making. Hopefully a few shoppers will stop in the classroom and make these cards. They both should be relatively easy to duplicate.</div>

Wow, I really can't believe it has been so long since I have shared any project here on my blog. I guess time just got away from me. Not that I haven't been making crafts but mainly I've been making cards and here is one of the holiday cards I made.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf_0XuBNOoT3Ae3eY_EBWhHoZl5kHEO0Iuk-CKpezPnZFdP6R7qVRL98Zwkzwo1fCnesjclh_pXN1om8OBO_7LTXqxdugVLldHEV2VRLxu6TBlIy1tSeSPEt-6Zj8PCwMWEdF9VGbTmZyh/s1600/DSCN1247.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf_0XuBNOoT3Ae3eY_EBWhHoZl5kHEO0Iuk-CKpezPnZFdP6R7qVRL98Zwkzwo1fCnesjclh_pXN1om8OBO_7LTXqxdugVLldHEV2VRLxu6TBlIy1tSeSPEt-6Zj8PCwMWEdF9VGbTmZyh/s400/DSCN1247.JPG" /></a></div>

This past weekend I decided to stop at my local Michael’s and found a great deal on metal stencil looking tags. I remember looking at them months ago in the dollar section but held off buying them as I just wasn’t sure what I’d use them for.<br />
