Quick $1 card set

I love it when I find inexpensive items that I can craft with.  Recently I picked up a set of layered stickers for $1 at JoAnn’s.

I was able to create a quick and simple card set with them.

The stickers all had sentiments on them so I didn’t even need to get out any stamps.

I embossed some frames on scrap papers to help make the stickers seem a bit larger.

Since I kept the design rather simple I was able to be a bit more creative with the cardstock and used color combination that I don’t usually use.

I like the clean lines of the cards I created with just a few supplies.

The next time you see inexpensive stickers or craft supplies pick them up and make them the start of a quick, simple and inexpensive card set.

Paper pack of cards

I haven’t shared any crafting projects for a long time so this is long overdue.  I hope I still have a few readers out there who will stop by.

I didn’t take any individual pictures yet so I only have group shots to share.

At first glance it looks like I designed lots of cards but I really only made one card design over and over again with different accents.

I started with a 12” x 12” pack of paper that was double sided and picked out a few packs of embellishments that coordinated with the papers.

  I cut each sheet in half and then cut it to 6” x 8 1/2” so I had 6” x 4 1/4” cards.  I cut the remaining paper to 5 1/2” x 3 3/4”, perfect layers for my cards.

I stamped some birthday and thank you greetings and punched them out along with brown layers for behind them.  When it came time to assemble the cards it was quick and easy, pick up a card base, a layer, a stamped greeting and an accent or two.

DSCN0207  I’ve made 50 plus cards with the same papers and still have paper and accents left to make about two dozen more.  The paper pack I used was 18 sheets so from that pack there was enough paper to make 84 cards.   Not bad for a $8 sale pack of paper.
